This project was supported by GIZ-RELAPU, and has been implemented by TIP in the Sub counties of Omodoi and Toroma in Katakwi district. Elsewhere the RELAPU project operates in Katine, Tubur and Asuret Sub-counties in Soroti District, implemented by other partners, and in Mityana, and Mubende districts in the central region of Uganda. The successful implementation of this project by TIP in Katakwi has triggered community need towards tenure security for their customary land. Many people in the project areas have understood their land rights and the need for tenure security. Consequently, many have applied for systematic land demarcation and mapping, and many have already acquired their CCOs form their respective Sub countiy Local governments.   Project Activities
